Behind The Design

The mixture of artful, timeless, and hand-crafted type is the main focus of the brand identity - used to embody the artistry of the photographs, the old-school romance of the couples, and the incredibly personal quality of the experience. A classic and elegant serif font is used for most of the type to establish that sense of trust and high-quality tones. A more poetic, romantic, and hand-done-esque font is woven in (here and throughout the other logos) to give that free- spirit, runaway lovers, dreamy, falling in love vibe to the branding. The italicized tilt in the “by” type adds even more of that dreamy feel as well. It is perfectly imperfect, infusing the brand with that real-life, homey feeling. The “by” here is slightly reduced in size to provide that poetic scale shift and dancing/movement look - inspired by dancing through the mountains to an elopement or down an aisle in the couple’s backyard.

A “Map” motif is used throughout the branding (and will be developed even further on the website) to embody the “everywhere your love is” brand line. Delicate and subtle lines and longitudes/latitudes are used as well to continue this idea.
